SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HISTORY

The first SEC Championship Game was played in 1992. No. 2 Alabama defeated No. 12 Florida 28-21. Florida, however, went on to win the next four straight SEC Championship Games. Tennessee took the title away from Florida in 1997 and won it again in 1998.

Over the years there have been a few teams that have won the SEC Championship Game in back-to-back years, but none have repeated the feat of Florida in winning four in a row.
