Before the 2016 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic between Georgia and North Carolina, be sure to check out the various Fan Fest activities taking place around the Georgia Dome. All of the events listed below take place on game day.
According to the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic’s website, a ticket to the Georgia-North Carolina game inside the Dome will act as your admittance to the FanZone, so be sure to have those on-hand with you when at the Georgia World Congress Center.
FanZone – September 3, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. GWCC Halls C1 & C2
Located within the Georgia World Congress Center adjacent to the Dome, the FanZone will run from 12:30 right up until an hour prior to kickoff. FanZone will have interactive games along with featured sponsors. In addition, there will be some food and drink, free samples, contests, giveaways and prizes available at FanZone. Be sure to check out the official pep rallies, as well as Dawg Walk (Georgia) and Victory Walk (North Carolina).
Pep Rallies and Team Walks – 2:55-3:30 p.m. PNC Bank Mainstage in FanZone
Join either the North Carolina or Georgia cheerleaders and pep bands as they get the fan bases fired up for the big game. See your favorite Georgia or North Carolina players make their way through the Georgia World Congress Center to the Dome across the street.
Tailgate Town – 12:00 – 5:30 p.m. Georgia World Congress Center – West Plaza
Be sure to stop by the free tailgate outside the grounds of the Georgia Dome running from 12:30 p.m. right up until kickoff. At Tailgate Town, look forward to samples, cornhole, live music, disc jockey and giveaways. There will also be large television screens to catch the beginning of the game on.
MVP Tailgates – Primesport Georgia Dome Tailgate
Guests of the MVP Tailgates will enjoy exclusive access to the Georgia Dome in the Owners Club featuring a buffet tailgate and an open bar. According to Primesport’s website, primesport.com, the MVP Tailgate opens two hours prior to kickoff between the Bulldogs and the Tar Heels.
The 2016 Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic between Georgia and North Carolina is sure to be a thriller, regardless of your allegiances for college football. Do make note though that there is more than just the football game itself on September 3. Many activities are taking place prior to kickoff on the first Saturday in September, so be sure to check it out. Within close proximity to the Georgia Dome, try to take in all you can before the action gets underway. Above all else, enjoy the day and have fun.
