Top Five Restaurants Places to Eat Around the Georgia Dome Before the Sec Championship Game

1. Taco Mac

100 Techwood Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30303

Taco Mac is a major hit in downtown Atlanta on an event night, and it’s sure to be that way again come early December during the SEC Championship Game. Taco Mac has many tasty appetizers and entrees to satisfy any palate. Along with many beers on tap and multiple high-definition televisions, Taco Mac is sure to treat most to great times with friends. Plus, Taco Mac is just steps away from the Georgia Dome. Be warned though, Taco Mac will be quite crowded throughout the early December weekend, so give yourself plenty of time.

2.   Hudson Grille

120 Marietta Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30303

Competing with Taco Mac as a sports bar and grill nearby the Georgia Dome, Hudson Grille serves a variety of dishes for its clientele, with plenty of choices to please almost everyone. The one slight drawback about this Hudson Grille is the amount of space inside the restaurant. Despite the smaller space, this is still a great spot well within walking distance of the Dome. Be warned though, when the SEC comes to town, Hudson Grille, like Taco Mac, should be busy on game day, so plan accordingly.

3.   Legal Sea Foods

275 Baker Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30313

Legal Sea Foods is a seafood restaurant in the area of the Georgia Dome. Located inside the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown, Legal Sea Foods has all kinds of specialties for those seeking something from the sea. Though a bit more pricey than Taco Mac or Hudson Grille, with its spectacular views of downtown Atlanta and an extensive menu, guests are sure to find something to dive into at Legal Sea Foods.

4.   McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood

190 Marietta Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30303

For those looking for something more upscale than Legal Sea Foods, McCormick and Schmick’s provides high-end steaks and seafood options to its patrons within a convenient location inside the CNN Center. As a steak and seafood restaurant, McCormick and Schmick’s is a more expensive choice for a meal before/after the SEC Championship Game, but it may be less crowded than the other options presented above for this very reason.

5.   Dantanna’s

1 CNN Center #269 Atlanta, Georgia 30303

Dantanna’s is another restaurant within the CNN Center that should be a spot to consider for a meal either before or after the SEC Champs are crowned. With a diverse menu sure to please most palates, Dantanna’s is an option to those looking for something slightly more upscale than Taco Mac or Hudson Grille, but still within walking distance of the Dome.
